Welcome to IT Services for Students

IT Services supports research, learning, teaching, and administration, providing a variety of communications and information technology facilities. All University staff, as well as students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, have access to our services. Most IT facilities are available 24 hours a day. Research students, in most cases, receive the same services as staff, so where we refer to staff, this will normally mean research postgraduates as well.

HallNet allows you to access the University network from hall of residence study bedrooms using your own computer.

Learn >>

Learn is the University's Virtual Learning Environment. This allows you to view course content, discuss your understanding of your subject, assess your knowledge through activities and quizzes, and much more.


Labs >>

There are Computer labs located across the campus, including the Library, with hundreds of PCs available 24 hours per day (except when being used for teaching). All provide Internet Browsing, E-mail, Microsoft Office 2007, Printing, and access to file storage space.

 

Wireless >>

Use our WiFi network when you're out and about on campus.
