As you may well have noticed, the chageover to a new IT Services web site has begun! This is replacing the old Computing Services and CIS sites, following the merger of those two departments. For a transitional period, some service web pages will remain in their old format, as the changeover takes place, service by service. By the beginning of term, all of the purely student-focussed service pages should be in the new format; as you can see, much of this work has been completed already. The rest will be moved over, as soon as possible thereafter.
Existing links to www.lboro.ac.uk/computing/ are being re-directed to www.lboro.ac.uk/it/ for 18 months, which means that the vast majority of the links to the old sites will still work. A few links, however, will of necessity no longer work, as it may have been necessary to delete or reorganise the page, as the new site has been developed. For a short period linking to www.lboro.ac.uk/cis/ will take you directly to the old CIS pages, pending the removal of the cisalpha CIS Portal.
We hope that everyone will find the new site easy to navigate, and that you will find it straightforward to access all of the information that you need to make effective use of IT Services. If you have any comments or concerns, please address them to IT.Services@lboro.ac.uk.
