Staff: New Remote Working Service
Checking for new journal articles from an airport departure lounge, authorising Agresso payments at your convenience, and accessing your desktop computer as if you were on campus are all features of the new and exciting Remote Working Services.
IT Services are pleased to announce two new remote working services for all members of the University. Please pass this information on to colleagues in your department.
The 'Remote Working Portal' allows users to interact with many more on-campus services than before, from home to locations around the world, providing a truly international experience to IT Services at Loughborough.
Access is now available to all on-campus services, providing a seamless experience to: Library Journals, Agresso, Desktop PCs and UNIX/Linux computers for research.
Simply follow the link below and use your University username and password:
University staff who use the Staff Desktop Service for their IT requirements can now make their laptop appear on the campus network providing access to all resources including the U: and Y: drive from any location world wide.
A new item 'Lboro VPN' will appear in 'University IT Services' on your Start menu. Staff Desktop Remote Working Client details are available at: www.lboro.ac.uk/it/off-campus/client.html.
There is also an Apple Macintosh Remote Working Client details at www.lboro.ac.uk/it/off-campus/client-mac.html.
