High Performance Computing service launch event

IT Services invites you to a launch event for the High Performance Computing (HPC) Service at Loughborough University. This will take place on the afternoon of 4th June 2008, in the Management Suite in the Business School. The event is an opportunity for current HPC users, researchers and IT staff to learn what is available, how the service can be used in research, some applications of HPC to research and some of the issues involved in providing such a service. There are five speakers who will cover topics from use of HPC in their research to delivering high performance computing services to the academic community.

2:50 Prof. Roy Kalawsky - Research School of Systems Engineering.
3:20 Mr. Chris Cartledge - Sheffield University.

4:10 Dr. Gary Page - Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering.
4:40 Dr. Steven Kenny - Mathematical Sciences.
5:10 Wine and nibbles.
