PSP instructions

Download both the video and the thumbnail. Right-click and select Save Target As... (or Control and click and Download Linked File on Apple Mac Safari). PSP Media Player is very particular about its file names - do not rename. If you have PSP Media Manager follow these instructions:

1. Connect the PSP to your PC using a USB cable.

2. From your PC's Start menu or desktop, open PSP Media Manager.

3. Make sure that you are in the Video view. When in Video view, the Video icon is lit on the menu bar.

4. Use the tree view in the left navigation pane to browse and open the folder that contains the video that you want to upload to your PSP. Any available videos will display on the right side of the tree view.

5. If you do not see the desired folder, you will need to add it to the tree. Click the Add Folder icon. Browse for the folder that contains the video that you want to upload. Open that folder to display the desired video on the right side of the tree view.

6. On the right side of the tree view, click on the video to select it.

7. Once selected, click the Transfer icon or drag the file to the My PSP directory located below the tree view. The conversion and transfer will begin.

8. When PSP Media Manager has completed the file conversion, access the home menu on the PSP and play the video from the video section.

If you do not have PSP Media Manager, follow these instructions:

1. Connect the PSP to your PC using a USB cable.

2. On the PSP, select Settings, and then USB connection.

3. On your Windows PC, open My Computer. The PSP will appear as a new drive under Devices with Removable Storage. Double-click it.

4. If there is no folder MP_ROOT create it with File then New then Folder and type MP_ROOT and press ENTER.

5. Double click MP_ROOT.

6. If there is no folder 100MNV01 create it with File then New then Folder and type 100MNV01 and press ENTER.

7. Double click 100MNV01.

8. Copy and Paste or Drag and Drop the downloaded video(s) and thumbnail(s) into this folder.

9. When copied, access the home menu on the PSP and play the video from the video section.

Technical data

The movies are MPEG-4 (.mv4) for a screen size of 320 x 240 pixels. Download the .THM files also as a thumbnail of the first fram of the movie.
