University Designs for Office 2003 - Corporate Identity

Introduction
Users of Staff Desktop XP have University design templates already set up for Word 2003 (Fax, Letter, and Memo) and PowerPoint 2003 (new 2006 designs and the original black, grey, purple, or white). These meet Corporate Identity guidelines.

Using a University design for a new Word document

From the File menu select New. The New Document task pane will appear on the right-hand side:

Under Templates select On my computer.... The Templates dialogue will appear.

Select the General tab.

Select lu-fax, lu-letter, or lu-memo, and click OK.
Note that the memo template is intended for printed memos, it is not suitable for memos sent by e-mail.
Using a University design for a new PowerPoint presentation

From the File menu select New. The New Presentation task pane will appear on the right-hand side.

Under Templates select On my computer.... The Templates dialogue will appear.

Select the General tab.

Select from the new designs: lu-2006-1, lu-2006-2, lu-2006-3, or the previous designs: lu-black, lu-grey, lu-purple, lu-white, and click OK.
Applying a University design to an existing PowerPoint presentation

From the Format menu select Slide Design.... The Slide Design task pane will appear on the right-hand side.

Under Available For Use select from the new designs: lu-2006-1, lu-2006-2, lu-2006-3 (a pop-up tool tip will display the name of the design), or the previous designs: lu-black, lu-grey, lu-purple, lu-white.

The design will be applied to your existing presentation.
